New Blog Stuff

Hey girls, please check out our blog each day because I will have good info for you to help you in your fitness world. Please feel free to ask questions and make sure you check out our polls often. Thanks for the fun class! I love zumba, though I don't know what I'm doing yet. I am just wondering what you do beside Zumba for your fitness rountine. Kerri has arms of steel! Just wondering how often you lift weights or what you do? I would love another night class, like on Monday! Thanks so much, it is a fun blog too!

Thanks for coming to the class. I also teach cycling and I train for triatholns(sometimes). I lift weights 3 days a week. It is esstential if you want to lose weight! Zumba is a great workout but make sure you mix and mingle it with other forms of cardio throughout the week. Thank you for thinking my arms are steel but they are far from it!

Thanks for answering my question, I have another one. Currently I do weights 3 x a week for about 45 mins and cardio 3 X a week. Do I need to do cardio on the days I lift? I just do an every other day pattern? Sorry, like you said I'm going to take advantage of your knowledge. :)

To answer your question, yes you need to do cardio atleast six days a week. Weights will burn calories but cardio burns the fat. So try to get in as much cardio as your body will allow you to. On the days I do lift weights I go in about 20 mins. before class starts and get them done. Your cardio workout doesn't always need to be a class or an hour long. Try the treadmill or other machines for about 30 mins. then do weights. Add some jump ropping into your routine, it's one of the best ways to up your endurance level. Make sure you are eating healthy foods. Try get get 6 small meals in a day and don't eat carbs after 4:00 pm. Let me know if you have any more questions? I love them!
